DAY OF CARING
The Hat Ladies are proud to have participated every year in The National Day of Caring since it began in 2001.
The Day was created following 9-1-1 to counteract the horror it represented with the goodness of Americans as seen in volunteerism throughout our country.
2021
We proudly headed to THE CHARLESTON AREA SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER.....
...where, after a year of lock down due to the Pandemic, we could again bring our patriotic program of hats and music and march along with the guests.
As always, it was a rousing success! Click on www.tuw.org/daysofcaring for a QUICK look at us in action!
Archie, Jennie, Ginsey, Ida, Jackie, Sheila

Archie leads off the Program with The Pledge of Allegiance, to be followed by a medley of patriotic songs. |
Everyone is encouraged to sing along with us. |
Hats have been provided for those who wish to wear them. |
Following the singing, we all share stories about family members who served in the Military and our own experiences

THANK YOU from Chloe Knight Tonney, President and CEO of Trident United Way: We are grateful for your loyalty to the citizens of our region, and for the distinctive ways in which you and your Hat Ladies colleagues answer the call to serve. (We were among 6,000 participants who donated more than 23,000 hours of service for community impact valued at more than a quarter of a million dollars).
SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
